There is no single button for every device. WhatsApp transcribes voice notes on phones, WhatsApp Web has no transcript setting, and the right fix depends on where you read your chats. Answer two questions and get the steps.
On Android or iPhone, turn on Settings > Chats > Voice message transcripts, then press and hold a voice note and tap Transcribe. On a computer, WhatsApp Web can’t transcribe, so add the free Kaption extension to Chrome or Edge, or use the Kaption desktop app, and click transcribe on the voice note.
Two questions, then the steps for your device.
