# AI for WhatsApp Web: 6 extensions compared (2026)

> Kaption, Blueticks, TimelinesAI, WAPlus CRM, Eazybe and Cooby: which AI features each WhatsApp Web extension lists, what it costs, and who it suits.

Canonical: https://kaptionai.com/blog/en/ai-for-whatsapp-web-6-extensions-compared/

Short answer: "AI for WhatsApp" means two different things, and the six extensions here split along that line. Some put AI to work for you while you read and reply: transcripts, summaries, translation, suggested replies. Others put AI to work for your customers: agents and auto-replies that answer without you. Kaption, which is our product, is in the first group and doesn't do agents or auto-replies. Blueticks, TimelinesAI, WAPlus CRM and Eazybe offer AI that answers customers.

Below, each extension's AI features are only the ones it lists on its own pricing page or Chrome Web Store listing. Where a feature isn't listed, we say so instead of guessing.

*Updated November 7, 2026. Competitors' prices and store figures checked on November 3, 2026; Kaption's prices are its 2027 plans.*

## TL;DR

- **AI that helps you read and reply (voice notes, summaries, translation):** Kaption. Every account starts with 60 days of Business, unlimited; after that Free continues with limits on voice notes.
- **An AI agent that answers customers:** Blueticks, TimelinesAI or Eazybe's AI plans. Kaption doesn't do this.
- **A free AI chatbot and translation inside a CRM layer:** WAPlus CRM, whose free plan includes an auto-reply and some translation.
- **AI summaries on chats synced to a CRM:** Eazybe or TimelinesAI; Cooby on its team plans.
- **Connecting Claude or ChatGPT to WhatsApp:** Kaption, Blueticks, TimelinesAI, Eazybe and Cooby (read-only) all advertise MCP. WAPlus CRM doesn't.

*Kaption is our product; we list where others are better.*

## What does Kaption's AI do on WhatsApp Web?

Kaption uses AI to help you read and reply faster in your own chats, in WhatsApp Web in Chrome or Edge and in the Kaption desktop app for Mac and Windows. It has about 50,000 users and 4.8 from 5.5K ratings on the Chrome Web Store.

- **Voice-note transcripts.** A transcribe button on every voice note, in the language it was recorded in. Unlimited for your first 60 days; after that Free continues with limits on voice notes, transcribed on your device. Pro and Business add unlimited Turbo transcription in the cloud and smart transcription that learns names and brands.
- **Summaries.** Summarize a long voice note or a whole conversation, groups included. Included in every account's first 60 days of Business; after that, unlimited on Pro and Business. AI summaries can miss sarcasm, inside jokes and who replied to whom, so check before acting on anything important. See [how chat summaries work](/summarize-whatsapp-chats/).
- **Reply suggestions.** AI suggests a reply in the chat.
- **Live translation.** Incoming messages in your language and your reply in your contact's, across 36 languages. Included in your first 60 days; after that, Lifetime local AI translates on your computer, unlimited, and Pro and Business are unlimited in the cloud. Details on [translating WhatsApp messages](/translate-whatsapp-messages/).
- **MCP for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.** Unlimited in every account's first 60 days; after that they need a plan, in credits a month: Lifetime local AI 50, Pro 250, Business 500 with its 2 numbers. The tools work while Kaption is open. See the [MCP page](/mcp/).
- **Call transcripts.** On Business, Kaption records WhatsApp calls (audio only) and transcribes each side separately. See [call recording](/call-recording/).

Where it loses: Kaption has no AI agent and no auto-reply, so nothing answers your customers while you're away. It isn't a CRM. It doesn't do bulk messaging. On Pro and Business, transcription and translation run in Kaption Cloud; Free and Lifetime local AI transcribe on your device.

Price: Free after your first 60 days of Business; Lifetime local AI US$99 once; Pro US$11.99 a month (US$9.99 a month billed every 3 months, US$7.99 billed yearly); Business US$19.99 a month with 2 WhatsApp numbers (US$11.99 a month billed yearly). See [pricing](/pricing/).

## What AI does Blueticks offer?

Blueticks' AI is an agent that answers customers' frequently asked questions and keeps notes and labels on contacts. Its FAQ says AI replies work in any language. It also offers an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT on paid plans.

- **Good at:** scheduling (unlimited and recurring), campaigns to groups, labels or CSV, and an AI agent that answers for you. On Pro, schedules, campaigns and the agent run in Blueticks' cloud with your computer off.
- **Limits:** AI use is capped per plan. Voice-note transcription and translation aren't advertised. It has the lowest rating here, 2.6 from 406, with reviews about scheduled messages not sending once the browser is closed on Basic.
- **Price:** Basic $9 per user a month ($7 billed yearly); Pro, the cloud plan, $45 to $50 per user a month, as of Nov 3, 2026. 60,000 users.

## What AI does TimelinesAI offer?

TimelinesAI lists ChatGPT summaries, AI auto-replies and ChatGPT agents, plus a WhatsApp MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex at no extra charge. It's a shared team inbox for many WhatsApp numbers.

- **Good at:** teams that share numbers and want every chat in their CRM: Pipedrive, HubSpot, Zoho, monday.com, Salesforce, Close and more on every plan, with a workflow builder.
- **Limits:** no free plan, only a 10-day trial; each connected number takes a seat. Conversations live in the TimelinesAI workspace, server-side. Voice-note transcription and translation aren't mentioned on its pricing page.
- **Price:** Starter $35 per seat a month ($28 billed yearly), Pro $49 ($39 yearly), as of Nov 3, 2026. The Chrome extension has 3,000 users and 4.2 from 14 ratings, but the product is mainly a web app.

## What AI does WAPlus CRM offer?

WAPlus CRM lists an AI chatbot that auto-replies and AI translation with monthly character caps. It's a lightweight CRM layer for WhatsApp Web.

- **Good at:** a generous free plan with custom tabs, 3 schedulers, 3 reminders, broadcasts, an auto-reply, translation up to 3,000 characters a month, and HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho integrations. Growth has unlimited translation.
- **Limits:** the chatbot is metered by monthly uses on Pro and Growth. Voice-note transcription and MCP aren't advertised. Team features sync conversations to the WAPlus team space.
- **Price:** Starter $12.99 per user, Pro $17.99, Growth $20.99, as of Nov 3, 2026; the page doesn't say whether these are monthly or annualized. 70,000 users and 4.9 from 4.1K ratings.

## What AI does Eazybe offer?

Eazybe lists AI summaries, AI agents on its AI plans, and "WhatsApp MCP for Claude & Codex" on Starter. Its Basic AI plan also lists voice AI calling. Eazybe syncs WhatsApp chats into your CRM for B2B sales teams.

- **Good at:** two-way CRM sync with HubSpot, Zoho, Bitrix24 and Google Sheets, labels, a smart inbox, chat backup to your CRM or cloud storage, and unlimited scheduled messages.
- **Limits:** AI agents start at Basic AI, $59 per number a month, with per-reply AI fees. No permanent free plan, only a 4-day trial. Voice-note transcription and translation aren't mentioned on its pricing page. Recent 1-star reviews describe charges after cancelling.
- **Price:** Starter $19 per user a month; Basic AI $59 per number a month (5 users), as of Nov 3, 2026. 30,000 users and 4.2 from 1.1K ratings.

## What AI does Cooby offer?

Cooby's AI is on its team plans: answers and summaries from your conversations, plus a read-only MCP connection for AI assistants. Cooby is a HubSpot-focused layer for WhatsApp Web.

- **Good at:** HubSpot (and Salesforce on higher plans) sync, a team inbox, and inbox-zero tools like tabs, snooze and reminders.
- **Limits:** AI isn't part of the free or $9.99 Extension Pro plans. The MCP is read-only. Voice-note transcription and translation aren't advertised. A 1-star review from May 2026 says cancelling meant emailing support.
- **Price:** Extension Pro $9.99 a month; Starter team $15.99 per user a month billed yearly ($20.99 monthly), as of Nov 3, 2026. 20,000 users and 4.5 from 137 ratings.

## Which extension transcribes WhatsApp voice notes with AI?

Of these six, Kaption is the one that advertises voice-note transcription. Blueticks, WAPlus CRM and Cooby don't advertise it, and for TimelinesAI and Eazybe we couldn't confirm either way from their pricing pages. If transcription is all you need, Kaption is unlimited for your first 60 days, then free with limits, or unlimited on your computer with Lifetime local AI (US$99 once); there's a guide to [WhatsApp voice notes to text](/whatsapp-voice-notes-to-text/).

## Which extension has an AI that replies to customers for you?

Blueticks, TimelinesAI, WAPlus CRM and Eazybe do. Blueticks has an AI agent, TimelinesAI lists AI auto-replies and ChatGPT agents, WAPlus CRM has an AI chatbot, and Eazybe has AI agents on its AI plans. Kaption doesn't, by design: its AI suggests, summarizes and translates, and you send.

## When Kaption isn't the right pick

- **You want AI to answer customers while you're away.** Kaption has no agents or auto-replies. Look at Blueticks, TimelinesAI, WAPlus CRM or Eazybe's AI plans.
- **You need a CRM.** Kaption isn't one. Eazybe, TimelinesAI, Cooby and WAPlus CRM log chats and track deals.
- **You mostly want free translation.** After the first 60 days, Kaption Free doesn't include translation. WA Web Translate (by WADesk) is free, and WAPlus CRM's free plan includes 3,000 characters of AI translation a month.
- **You run campaigns or bulk sends.** Kaption doesn't do bulk messaging. Blueticks, TimelinesAI, WAPlus CRM and Cooby offer broadcasts or campaigns.
- **You need on-device AI for everything.** Kaption's on-device option covers transcripts and translation (Free with limits, or Lifetime local AI); summaries and the rest run in Kaption Cloud.
- **You use Firefox or Safari.** Kaption's extension works in Chrome and Edge.

## FAQ

### What is the best AI extension for WhatsApp Web?

It depends on the job. For reading voice notes, summarizing long groups and translating replies, Kaption. For an AI that answers customers on its own, Blueticks, TimelinesAI, WAPlus CRM or Eazybe's AI plans. For AI on top of a CRM, Eazybe, TimelinesAI or Cooby's team plans.

### Is there a free AI extension for WhatsApp Web?

Yes, to start. Every Kaption account gets 60 days of Business, unlimited, with no card: transcription, summaries, translation and Claude and ChatGPT. After that, Free continues with limits on voice notes. WAPlus CRM's free plan includes an AI auto-reply and limited translation.

### Can AI summarize a WhatsApp group?

Yes. Kaption summarizes conversations, groups included, in WhatsApp Web and the desktop app. Eazybe and TimelinesAI list AI summaries, and Cooby lists summaries on its team plans.

### Does Kaption have an AI chatbot or auto-reply?

No. Kaption suggests replies, but you decide what to send. It has no agent that answers customers on its own.

### Can I use ChatGPT or Claude with WhatsApp?

Yes, through an MCP connector. Kaption, Blueticks and TimelinesAI name ChatGPT and Claude; Eazybe names Claude and Codex; Cooby's MCP is read-only on team plans. We compared them in [WhatsApp MCP connectors compared](/blog/en/whatsapp-mcp-connectors-compared/).

### Does AI read my WhatsApp messages?

For summaries, Kaption sends only the text you choose to summarize, without your name, number or contacts, and it's never used to train AI models; your chat history stays in encrypted storage on your computer. Tools with server-side inboxes, like TimelinesAI, keep conversations in their workspace.
